| It'll be an interesting platform but doubtfull in competition with world giant Microsoft. |

| support will be the main issue. I like using the google chrome web browser as its very fast, but it gets fustrating all the times I run into issues where there is no support for chrome and have to pop up firefox or explorer |

| I wouldn't trust any OS made as a "side-project". |

It's funny how everyone keeps bashing Microsoft all the time when here you have a perfect example of a monopoly creeping around.
I'm happy using Gmail and other web apps. I'm not going to let my offline experience be a google one as well. |

LOL I am *always* confused when it comes to computers. My knowledge of them is "enter website address, hit enter...." (lol ok ok not THAT bad, but you get the picture!)
I always hesitate coming into these threads, but my opinion is: I have used google chrome for some time now and its super fast and better than previous systems I have used. Thats about as far as I can go in this convo. :o :stongue: :toothless |

Sounds like you are talking about the CHROME browser and not the (OS) platform a computer runs on. The new Google OS we're talking about here is similar to Windows 7.
If you say you don't know much about computers, I highly doubt you would have been chosen to test out the Chrome OS in beta before its release.
----
About the OS, I have to admit I'm pretty curious to check it out and see how it works.
Google is on a mission for world domination, the hardest part for the competition is that they usually release their products for FREE & an open source platform. |

| Chrome OS is just chrome on a netbook. So no filesystem management or anything like that. Either you have internet and you can stream your music or whatever, or oyu don't have internet and you can't do anything at all. |

the same can be said about the majority of people that use osx. they have no idea that it is built on unix. |
