Correct

support will be the main issue. I like using the google chrome web browser as its very fast, but it gets fustrating all the times I run into issues where there is no support for chrome and have to pop up firefox or explorer

I wouldn't trust any OS made as a "side-project".

It's funny how everyone keeps bashing Microsoft all the time when here you have a perfect example of a monopoly creeping around.

I'm happy using Gmail and other web apps. I'm not going to let my offline experience be a google one as well.

LOL I am *always* confused when it comes to computers. My knowledge of them is "enter website address, hit enter...." (lol ok ok not THAT bad, but you get the picture!)

I always hesitate coming into these threads, but my opinion is: I have used google chrome for some time now and its super fast and better than previous systems I have used. Thats about as far as I can go in this convo. :o :stongue: :toothless

Sounds like you are talking about the CHROME browser and not the (OS) platform a computer runs on. The new Google OS we're talking about here is similar to Windows 7.

If you say you don't know much about computers, I highly doubt you would have been chosen to test out the Chrome OS in beta before its release.

About the OS, I have to admit I'm pretty curious to check it out and see how it works.
Google is on a mission for world domination, the hardest part for the competition is that they usually release their products for FREE & an open source platform.

Chrome OS is just chrome on a netbook. So no filesystem management or anything like that. Either you have internet and you can stream your music or whatever, or oyu don't have internet and you can't do anything at all.

the same can be said about the majority of people that use osx. they have no idea that it is built on unix.
