LOL @ this thread being one of the biggest on the front page.
So I'm just getting my feet wet here - ironic that I've been online almost every day since the original mod discussion but happened to be away during the coronation (yes, I did just call it that). So, sorry about some of the spam that was sitting around, I turfed it as soon as I saw it. And if anyone's already been banned, it wasn't me.
Before everybody piles up on me about stickies and users they think should be banned and so on, allow me to make a couple of points here:
- I will be updating the stickies, that's a promise. Give it a couple of weeks, though; I don't have unlimited time.
- Nobody is getting banned on account of personal grudges. Relax.
- Expect some clear guidelines specific to this forum in the next couple of days. Those will help to weed out the -stirrers.
- If you've got a bunch of other questions/suggestions, please wait until the aforementioned thread is up, that will be the best place for discussion.

So what you are saying is, 'i cant see past my eyebrow, i need proof'. I hardly say things without proof, I can link average troll littered, spammed, and derailed thread that I see in MD. So if you need proof do let me know. |

What is it with your hostility? You could had just answered a simple question but you insisted on dragging it out and belittling me in the process. I also didn't ask for "proof", I asked why you thought it needed mods. Would it be too much to ask to lay down your troll-slaying sword and just answer a simple question for once? |

Well of course you did not ask for proof, because your poorly thought up one liner sarcastic replies would not work against proof. Even without the proof (there is plenty), Music Discussion should be moderated, if people are going to be moderated in other areas on this site. The good people of MD could do without the behaviour there by you and other trolls, they dont need you guys ruining threads as often as you guys do. I'm surprised Swamper has not taken an iniative to clean up that forum which was truly a great place to talk about electronic music for a very long time. |

you've been in a few threads with this guy, surely you know the formula by now...
1: make stupid comment
2: once pwnd say that the pwner is a troll and imbecile
3: when asked to back up original claim continue calling the other person a troll and saying that he doesn't need proof etc
there is no proof. he has no point. he just likes being a troll, then calling everybody better than him a troll. |

Oh please, as if you don't deliberately get yourself on pretty much every single "heated debate", especially on this particular forum. You're in no position to call people out on the exact same behaviour you practice yourself.
I don't think I ever got your definition of "troll" either. You just like saying it as often as you can, don't you? |

There is a difference between heated debate, which is healthy in a forum of discussion, and blatant trolling, undermining discussion, spamming, elitism that you and buddies have been doing for a long time in Music Discussion. Behaviour that those people who go to that forum could do without, but since there is no moderator there, its impossible, unless the forum trolls find something they actually want to discuss.
Without heated debate, we wouldnt get anywhere on any platform of communication, whether here or anywhere. Heated debate is the least of the problems on a dicussion forum, actually beneficial to a forum. Blatant trolling is not. Through your ignorant response, you made it seem like MD is free of the problems that plague a forum, which is ridiculous coming from a forum nazi who seems to be monitoring plenty of threads on that forum. I take it you dont want any sort of proof... |
