Yeah it's me with another annoying computer question to piss you all off and make my life better lol, just kidding.
Well lately I feel that my computer has been running slower than when I first bought it. Certain games will skip every couple of seconds for no apparant reason (not running a virus scanning program, autoprotect is disable), programs seam to load a bit slower and certain actions can take forever to perform. This is all very weird because all I basically have running in the background on my computer is my ATI drivers, virus scanner (which auto protect is switched off), ICQ +, and sometime my FTP server. I mean maybe it's just me or something but it just runs too slow sometimes, nothing like it did when I first bought it. So then what can I do to help it? I defragmented it a while ago although maybe I should do it again, what can I do to help this?
I'm running
Pentium 4, 1.4Ghz
Windows XP Professional
Not sure of RAM but it is pretty good (was when I bought it) |

| It is a problem with your hard drive most likely. Try running disk defrag and it should help quite a bit. This takes a long time to do if you havent done it in a while and have a large drive, so I prefer formatting and reinstalling. |
