Where did you come up with this theory that bananas and oranges are genetically modified?
Oh and thank you for pointing out the spelling.. :toothless |
Bananas and oranges have been GMOs for YEARS. The original crop of bananas that used to be eaten, were similar to plantains in size. The bananas we eat today, are much larger. I can't find the stuff I read a year or two ago atm, but once I do I will cite it. |

Shouldn't concider this a conspiracy theory. There is no denying that corporations like Monsanto are out to make as much money as they can. They don't care about the effects their products have on health or the environment. Its up to the FDA to check this out and unfortunately Monsanto has them by the balls. Doesn't take much research to realise that Monsanto has been one major fuk up since they started. |
Monsanto needs to die. They are a corporation that is destroying the US farming industry by asserting patents on everything, criminally contaminating crops to say that farmers are screwing them over by "stealing" their stuff. |

+1 and you are are right about bananas and oranges. Those were early modifications that were mostly selective breeding, but over the centuries have left bananas genetically weak.

Not really the same league as splicing arachnid genes with wheat and corn to give them a longer shelf life. |

I think they were selectively bred not GM, but then again GM is just a form of more efficient selective breeding anyway. |

Yeah, breeding spiders with corn, because that's how nature would do it.
 |

Selective breeding is not the same as genetically modyfying living organisms.
Look at this article, might persuade some people to believe that GMO are potentially dangerous.

As long as the ignorant people stop saying GMO's will save the world. |

Come on man, more food for the fat Americans. Why the hell would we share all our food with poor people in other Countries? Genetically modified food has been around a long time yet world hunger seems to be rising. |

Lots of GM food makes its way to Africa; regardless, more food is a good thing irrespective of who is eating it. it helps keep food prices down, or at least tempers their rise.
Im much more open to arguments that we still don’t know enough about GM food to rule on its safety, than I am to assertions that making more food available is a bad thing. |
