I did some recording in Ableton with a Nexus VST armchaired, did some pitch stuff on my wheel on the keyboard, and it recorded all of the pitch changes. Great. Now, the pitch automation isn't showing up anywhere and I can't get rid of it. Totally took my production to a grinding halt. Anyone know how I can clear/edit the pitch wheel automation? Thanks! |

Click on the midi clip in the arrangement view. Make sure the little "E" is highlighted yellow in the lower left hand corner. Find the "Envelopes" section, click on "Pitch Bend" button, then right click the clip and select "Clear Envelope."
Or you can hit "Ctrl + Z" until you go back to before you recorded. |

Sequentially I am in a position where I had done so much essential work after I noticed the pitch bend wasn't editable, that I can't undo. Good idea though. I will however try what you said about the arrangement view. Do you know what I mean though? How everything else shows up in the automation like normal, but the pitch isn't? Thanks again. |

Pitch is recorded into the clip envelope not the arrangement envelope. So do as he said and/or RTFM. |
