| Guys I hear all and have had the same problem for at least this whole year and last half of 2001. I am a trance DJ myself and started out buying a lot of deep and uplifting trance tracks, and felt i was forced to come up with Hard Trance/NRG tracks due to the current clubs DJ's playing that style, so I went out and bought myself a bag full over a period of time. It became obvious that the clubs were playing harder stuff to suit the patrons drug they were consuming but each to their own. I guess drugs are an accepted part of the scene and most peoples weekly clubbing ritual. I've handed out cd's and found people love my style, sometimes suprisingly (due to their progressive house likings), other times just as well. I have my own style now that is "Anything trance" it could be hard/uplifting/deep it doesn't matter all trance works well together and brings the crowd up and on that journey. I've DJ'd a few recoveries and a guest at a few clubs (ZOS, Viper, Evolution recovery etc.) and played mainly uplifting early set and a little harder the way through (i've also played hard trance/nrg sets also at peak time so i'm no stranger). The crowd i've noticed loves uplifting tracks with vocals and as I love them myself are never disappointed. The voice just grabs you and sends those chills down your spine and all over, and behind the decks you get that feeling ten fold....unbelievable. Due to work commitments of late I haven't been able to set my own mark and enforce it in the scene as a DJ and therefore haven't secured residencies anywhere but now I am free of all of that and ready to get noticed. I've noticed the progessive house scene has taken off of late in Melbourne and would love to be apart of a new Trance night that would allow me to strut my stuff on the decks if given the opportunity and be able to contribute in its hopeful success. And full credit to Steve Strangis who's managed to go against the grain and make a name for himself with his trance style. I'd like a place where you can go and have a couple drinks unwind feel the music and leave happy and good with yourself and friends alike. I have a mix up on Tranzfusion you can listen to http://www.tranzfusion.net/query.as...nre=&orderby=#. I will be uploading a newer harder trance set that is pretty spot on to what i have been playing as a guest at some of the clubs round melbourne. Geez my fingers are aching but had to get the emotion out as it comes easily when it's something that I really feel for (and you do too). Enjoy the music, be good to your mother and always remember that "the ultimate fix is the ultimate mix". |

I'm speechless! Everyone's said everything already!
Basically go back and read what everyone wrote and pretend they were all my replies LOL!
Also, I'm an extra pair of hands; be more than happy to help get this going. I don't have a hell of a lot of experience but I can do a lot of one-on-one promotion. (Even if it means going into dance arena and dropping a whole load of flyers by all the NRG ones!)
Seriously I think this could happen, IT WOULD ABSOLUTELY MF-ING ROCK! |

Three words: BRING IT ON!
I fully CANNOT wait for this party. Keep us posted, stipsy, and let us Melb TAs know if/how we can help promote this. Late October would be great, and possibly top off the best month of trance this fine city has seen:
Armin - Oct 5
This party - Late October
Ferry - Nov 4
:eyespop: :happy2: :wtf: *melts and dies* |
