First off, can't say that I really like this new setup for the West Coast forum...couldn't find the thread for Tyas @ Circus, so searched for it and located under "past events" only to find out that it has been closed. So, I started this thread for the review...
Was very impressed with Josh's set, best Progressive set I have heard in a long time, and a lot of people agreed with me on that. There was still a good crowd until after 3 when my feet gave out and I hit the road.
Good sets by Lowski, Gil and Sean too, but Josh...wow, that was amazing! :) Sean is such a great guy, hung out with the TA's on the patio and was no problem asking him to be in our group photo. Pics and vids to come after some sleep, long as this thread isn't deleted or moved somewhere else by then...

Im thinking maybe event threads get automatically deleted after the event passes?
Anyway, I had a blast playing last night. Thanks for kind words Don, thats what I play for. The progressive psychedelic went over quite well and the place stayed pretty busy right up until the end. Typically I prefer to open nights up, I feel it best suits my style. But being able to bang it out as hard as I really could was definitely a great time. I dont really get to play that hard very often so I am flattered at all the compliments I recieved by Loc, Johnny, and everybody that stayed til 4am with me. Perhaps I will have to sort out more closing sets in the near future:D
can anybody send me some pics you may have gotten. I forgot my camera:(

I had a great time, would have loved to stay later but my girlfriend was really sick and at home.
I like the venue so much better when they use the other booth and have the room set up like it used to be. Pack those people into a smaller place and the vibe would be better I think.
Good vibes nontheless :)
Techno Coud
I usually don't post much, but I had to today to give a +1 to Don. I had a great night yesterday night, great DJ's from the top to the end (which was unfortunately 2:00, 2:15am for me as I had to wake up early).
Great great night, the mix of Sean beeing full of excellent nrg vibes! I had a blast with the friends of circus and of course with Don with whom I spent a great part of my night (thanks for the track names btw ;) )
I liked wheere the DJ both was, lots of space to dance, go on Circus!
I also would be REALLY interested in a tracklisting of Sean's mix.
Thanks to the crowd of Circus which was in particularly good mood to dance yesteday night!
The opening DJ (I don't remember the name, my memory gave up) did a great warm up!
If Cressida was the best night I ever had at Circus, yesterday night was very close to it!

Just to elaborate a bit for anybody who missed this part of the night, it was not what I would consider just a bangin hard set, but a well developed progression of tracks with intoxicating progressive rhythms and beats, a "gets inside your head" feel that only a small group of DJ's have really been able to pull of for me (e.g. Digweed, Nick Warren, Cressida, Anthony Pappa). To throw an amazing track in here and there is one thing, but keep the flow and take the crowd on a journey like that is an effort well done.
I noticed that some people started leaving around the end of Sean's set, and then it was like "Whoa, what's this!?" and the place started filling up again during Josh's set...that says it all. :)
I have to say the night was excellent. It was great to see Gil La, Sean Tyas, and Josh Allen. Heck, seeing Victor Dinaire chillin back stage was also a plus. Sean Tyas played Snow Patrol with his touch.. I have never seen such great interaction betweena DJ and the crowd like this. Bravo Circus! I got 15 bucks from the confetti machine! woho! Bravo Circus.. can't wait for Electric HOliday
