yea but sometimes people wanna do something REALLY outrageous. i've been there. i was ready to pack my and move to NYC or Chicago 2 years ago...just to get out of here and move to cold weather and a bigger city...was bored.
but then i met pat:D
and yea i didn't read the thread starter's whole story...missed the part about his job. |
Yeah the job aspect is what keeps me from saying do it. If he had no worries about a job/career, then yes, by all means, he should. But he has a serious career that he is worried about, and as such will not have that when he gets back. And rebuilding that is no easy task. |

Good idea! That will certainly add a bit of spice and inconvenience to his life. |

| If you are fairly happy with your life, but it has just become too boring/predictable, take some risks. Make things happen. Sounds like you're in a position to do some great things, so rather than just being satisfied with good, aim higher. |

oh ok well then i would stay put dude. good career = money = freedom to travel, etc..
just go on a vacation or sky diving or something. maybe that's all you need. |

| I don't think I'll ever understand people who can't make personal life decisions for themselves. |

Exactly. Having the ability to travel is awesome. Wanting to without the ability is the worst.
I seriously think he should just get his own pad in LA somewhere somewhat near to his job.

well sometimes people just want to get that extra little "yea man! do it!" to get them motivated about a decision they've already made. |

| I say you pick up a drug habit. Your bloodthirsty addiction will lead you on adventures you didn't know you could have! |

| so where's all this music you've supposedly been producing? seems like all that time and effort, and sacrifice of a social life, should've yielded some results? |

True...but I still think it's weird. Doesn't this guy have friends or family to validate his choices?
At any rate, one more vote for the drug habit here. |
