| Oh, OK. Thanks for the tips, any other web stores with good deals apart from NewEgg? Basically what I'm going to do is buy it online and have it delivered to a friend's house where my gf will pick it up and bring it. |

LOL, I don't live in the States, remember? My gf will be there in December visiting family, and that way I don't have to pay any shipping + taxes to get it delivered all the way over here. That would easily bring the price up another $100. |

One thing I noticed when I ordered my computer about a year ago is that, if I'd had it shipped to my work (city of Denver), the shipping cost went up a good $100 due to taxes, alone. :wtf:
Something to consider if you have a bit of a choice. |

| Amazon might not be a bad place to look, either. I only mention Newegg because I order from them often... I'm on their mailing list, and they have laptop deals all day long. |

are cutoms officials dicks in guat? In canada they will try and make you pay for clothes you have owned for a year if they can.:mad: |

Yeah, of course. She's going to carry it back as if it was her own ;)
And customs officials aren't really dicks here, at least not to me. But I've heard stories from friends where they checked the entire contents of their bags and charged them for any clothing that looked and smelled new, lol. |

| i had a Toshiba before i bought my Mac. pretty solid machine and it still runs perfectly fine. i'd probably buy one again if i wasn't converted to the Mac side. :p |
