Yeah no kidding. I purchased a plan with them and they basically made it impossible for djs to use their service; even in the plans. 70 euros for like 20 hours (essentially 10 mixes).
Just like everyone else in the world they sold out when they found out they could cut costs and profit more. |

In theory it is myspace/twitter for the musician. However it's not as shiny and exciting as people think. They advertise the ability to host any file or file type including .wavs. What they don't tell you is that only the files are hosted at that quality. Their players convert everything to 128 kbps unfortunately:(
They also are charging exorbitant amounts for their plans. I use it for my dj sets until my website gets completed and one year cost me 70 euros (104 dollars and it was the smallest package). I had to purchase a plan because they disguised an "upgrade" as a means of raping people financially and forcing out djs from using their service.
And about your myspace; you have to make it do something for you. I have close to 1300 people I have bookmarked that I am going to send friend requests to after I release the album. If you just let it sit there then yeah it does nothing but if you make it work for you it def does. |

Actually, I've just gone through a stack of these sundclouds and the overall quality is devastating. Didn't realise there were so many talented people around here.
PS
Make this thread a sticky IMO, and people should include their myspaces, facebooks, soundclicks as well. It'd be awesome to have like a musical directory of the members here. |
