Help with making an Ebay account...

there's some stuff I really want on Ebay but Iam stuck on getting it to work. I have got to the page where you have to enter your credit card details but I only have a solo/debit card:( But it tells you to enter your credit/'debit' details :conf: ...anyway I was browsing through some stuff and I was sure I saw a solo icon at the bottom of the 'buy it now' page which surely means they accept it:conf: and as most sellers are happy with cash/cheques I can't see why I shouldn't be able to buy anything. But Until it accepts my card details I won't be able to bid right?

| i have no clue !!!!!!!! i've been trying to do the same thing myself... im not 18 yet so i guess it really doesnt matter. but what i do is just use a friend or family members account. Sorry i couldn't be of any help :( |

| if u don't have a credit card , u must provide them ur email provided by ur ISP (no hotmail or free email ) |

| what i always used to do when i wanted to bring the price up on my own items, was make an email at www.ziplip.com and then make an account on ebay, after that ur straight. Let me know if you need more help. |

yah, i got mine from mail.com
they have a ton of endings you can use, and it looks more official.
the only ones you can't use to sign up are hotmail and yahoo i think.
one more thing, if you are going to use Ebay, i strongly suggest using paypal as well.

If you're using an anonymous email address (such as hotmail) you must provide either a credit or debit card number. This is used to verfiy who you are. Click here to see FAQ on this subject. I think its also used to protect the buyer in a transaction. For example if you bought and payed for an item but the seller refused to ship it ebay could settle the matter by charging the sellers credit card. If you have more questions click here to send an email to customer support BTW, I'm a member have had lots to great experiences. Its a little intimidating at first but you'll get the hang of it.
