Dutch Hard Dance Legend - DJ Fausto The Interview Q&A's
I thought now would be as good a time as ever, to ask a few questions to mainstay & popular figures in our scene, see what their angle is & what makes them tick.

Where did it all start for you?
@ smokey coffeshops and bars for only drinks and no money
Where did the name come from?
From my mom and dad as its my original name
What gave you the initial push?
HQ High Quality -Melkweg Amsterdam and
Pendragon UK - Brixton Academy and Tysson Street London
Who would you say was putting on the best events at the moment?
Q-Dance and ID&T
Which other countries have you played?
man , to many to mension
The whole of Europe , Asia , Australia, North Amerika
What was the first event you ever played?
Delicate Sound of thunder by Multigroove 1991
What's the best event you've ever played?
That's a hard one .. But I have to say Qlimax 2007 .
That one was just perfect .
What was your first record you bought?
George Kranz - Din Dada 1983
Out of all the tunes you have, which one does the business every time?
The Bouncer - Kicks Like a mule 1990
What's your favourite tune of all time, the ultimate classic?
I have to say The Bouncer - Kicks Like a mule 1990
Im playing this one still and it still goes off when the main stab comes in
And when all the partying is over, how do you like to relax?
At home with the misses chilling with a video and the rest is private haha
How big is your vinyl collection? What is your opinion on CDJ's? (the pros & cons)
My collection holds about 25000 records and we can't forget that we have to progress with the times .
Pros are : a lot more possibilities and more accessible ..and you don't have to carry so much weight around
But : Vinyl still sounds 90 % better
The funniest thing that ever happened at an event?
Again to many to mension ..
But.. I have to say that when I had to take over form Yoji back in 2004 @ 4 Elenments in Ahoy Rotterdam , and I had a real big afro wig on and some pimpin sunglasses
And I never saw Yoji laugh so hard ..The video is on my myspace btw ;-)
What are your feelings on the MC's?
Sometimes they are just spot on and sometimes I just turn there microphone down , because sometimes they don't know how to time there shouts .
And that's very irritating
What do you do outside of the dance music scene?
Running my label Excessive Records and beining the family man that I am ..
What advice would you give to up and coming DJs/Mc's/Promoters?
If you believe in something then give it 200% to make it work otherwise it wont work out .
Be dedicated and passionate that's the key !!
If you could stage an event anywhere, where would you choose?
I would love to put down an event in a airbus 380 on 10 KM up in the sky with 800 ravers ..
That would be awesome !!
How do you see the scene 5 years from now?
I wish I knew J
If you had a time machine what year would you go back to and why?
Pffff. I cant say .. I have more then 20 years of party experience ,and al of these partys had there special moments ..
So that's very hard to give an anwers to .
Any shouts you would like to make?
Stay cool
Stay steady
Stay Rockin
Keep Partying
And enjoy every moment and party you gonna experience!!

Then I guess your reply has that same level.
An interview without answers is the worst IMO. |
