I LOVED the tune you chose to open with, and the set has its share of peaks and valleys - even the more repetitive, loopy songs don't drag since you mix them out before they get too boring. The Tom Middleton mix of Halcyon+On+On was a definite standout too. I am really impressed how you can make these 3+ hour long sets with consistently tight mixing and a varied track selection.

I will have to listen to the second half next time I'm at the gym.

Thanks again mate for your kind words and feedback (and bump!). Honestly I think there's some pretty rough moments in there, got a bit carried away with the fade to grey like I said.:o
The second half is a lot more bangin though and I also drop some trance late in the mix.
I'm absolutely loving that remix of Halcyon, more lush than the track Lush from the same E.P.:)
Lately I've really been mashing more of these tunes together and getting some good results, kinda wish I'd held off on this set a bit.

Tracklist looks rock solid. Downloading.

This is ing awesome. Did you mix it on decks? Very impressive if so.

I loved the progression. As someone else said, there were nice peaks and troughs. The thing I enjoyed most were the bass lines; they were very strong and gave the tracks in the latter half considerable drive.

Top work mate. I'll review Tranzlation late next week when I've had a few listens.

Thanks for your feedback Stub, sadly I can't take credit for mixing this on proper decks. It was done with Live 8 and the VCM-600 which makes it easy to keep tight. Glad you liked this though.:)
Next time around will be straight from vinyl as I've been buying quite a few lately. A few of the tracks in this set I ripped from vinyl and I've really been missing the feeling you get playing on techs. It's probably going to take me bit longer to put together.

Looks like a nice long mix to keep me busy during the weekday. On the D/L :)

Well, I've been extremely busy at work today and haven't had a chance to give this a thorough listen, but I will say that I'm at about the 60 minute mark and I really like whatever's going on here ;)

edit - and the proggy track that follows... is this Babicz?

edit 2 - ah, Middleton rework...nice!

Thanks for listening David. I'll be posting a review for your mix in the next day or so but am going to listen again on some decent speakers first.:)

Much appreciated, thanks! I'll try to make some more comments once I get to actually listen all the way through.

Truly excellent set. Some great tunes in there, and smooth transitioning. Loved the first ~40 minutes especially.
