I know where you are coming from but for paul now a days this set is not bad. Its still not great but I would not consider it horrible either. You will never hear a set from him like he used to play in 2001 to 2005 again.
The way I look at it is no other big room club DJ plays the way paul plays even to this day. I still think he has a unique sound and for that I am happy. I think you are going to be extremely disappointed on the space rooftop come tomorrow night. I hope I am wrong and he rips a hole in the roof. |

i think you're right. thats the whole reason im complaining so much. usually i got a pretty good sense about how pvds going to do. i just dont see how its going to be anything special when there isnt more than 30 mins of anything good in either of his last two sets (fur and ade).
but like you said, i hope im wrong too. i hope pvd says to me "hey you! you! i dont suck!" and just rips space apart.

thx for the first draft zjokke ;). you were faster ;). thx to mart_t too.
And you're right zjokke - awesome set again and all that variety of styles & pumping tracks (no AvB or Tiesto would play or even could do it better). always that complaining about him - can't stand it anymore
Calm beginning and pumping tracks, smooth transitions (very hard to hear the new track coming in) and live perfomance like transposing the tracks in realtime etc, no precasts except for the pvd mashups.
Using his transition-sample-effect and a fanfare sample to trigger at the right time + delay, filter and bitcrusher effects and on top playing on both keyboards live like for "For the Most Part" (Piano-strings on one and the spreads on the other)
so all of you have to engage in playing keyboard and putting up such a setup with ableton (ideas & controlling) to excoriate him.
it's not that easy as it sounds then maybe you can hear his smooth genius on all of the tracks. so do it better if you're complaing or stay with AvB, tiesto or whomsoever.
