- Can you give our readers a brief introduction about yourself…
I was born in Greece, where i got my early inspiration about music and culture....I have a deep passion for a lot of things, and have tried quite a few of them, but music has been the most expressive language for me so far.....

- How would you describe your sound, to the uneducated?
The Ekkohaus project is based on contemporary electronic music (somewhere in the borders between house and techno) with extreme use of vocals (not in the traditional songwriting way), a certain ammount of ...jazzyness, and indirect references to subjects arround politics, philosophy, but also the unexplored dark corners of our souls, which is the erotic part....

- How did you get into music?
My parents decided that i should start learning a musical instrument when i was 6. I was unaware at the time what a big present that was......because, after 6 years i stopped the piano lessons, but the synthsizer stayed at home.......he he

- We read that you played quite a few instruments growing up…was music your first love?
Painting was my first love. I became more and more attached to music after the age of 12. Started with piano/keys, and later moved on to drum kits (rhythmic composition), and orchestral percussion (vibraphone/marimba etc).....My thirst for new grounds in sound led me into electronic music in the mid nineties....

- What kind of student were you, growing up? Were you well behaved or a naughty one?!
I was probably an average student, with good grades and a critical mind towards school propaganda.....

- Why did you initially move to London?
I was disapointed from the courses on music production in Greece, and i wanted to push my limits and knowledge further, so London was a natural selection for me to expand my consience and continue my musical research....to get inspired, influenced, lost and eventually found........

- And what made you make the move to Berlin?
Again it was the love for music and the search for a more humane, artistic and creative surrounding.
I am interested in politics, philosophy, contemporary arts and the study of sub cultures..... Berlin seems to be hosting the most interesting, uncategorized, unspoiled, thinking individuals in the world at the moment.....

- Are you looking forward to playing with him at fabric on the 16th?
Fabric has been a milestone in the developement of electronic music in Europe since 2000....I have had great nights and have been influenced numerous times by the great artists who have perfomed from time to time. It is my honour to play with Claude VonStroke, Terry Francis, and Shawn Reeves, and i will give my best to the London crowd on the 16th.....

- Tell us a bit about Strictly No Dancing…
"Strictly no dancing" started as an "ironic" take on England's questianable politics, laws and licences concerning entertainment and fun. The essence of the night though is : More soul, less mathematics, more songs, less loops....It is traditionally on a Thursday, so you can receive the nessessary musicality and intriguing fresh sounds from the past.....before you expose yourself to the ego of the dj in the club on the weekend.....does that make any sence ?

- We read that during the SND nights, “the guest djs offer a journey in the past of their record collection rather than their latest hot tracks....” – can you talk us through a journey into your personal record collection?
I am too, one of the crate-digging geeks you know.....you can find some funny and quite diversed stuff in my collection, from Nina Simone and Telonius Monk to Syd Barret and Sonic Youth...from King Tubby and Burial to Arthour Russell and Theo Parrish....

- What inspires you, beyond music?
I like conversating a lot. I also have a deep apreciation for the arts and i get inspired quite a bit from visual representations and environments.

- What are your plans for Ekkohaus for the future?
I do not plan things ahead. However, i still a have a lot to learn, topics to improve, things to say, melodies to compose....i am now working with a few people i respect and admire, and i am very greatful for this. I want to give people a good time and at the same time, make them think, without spoiling their entertainment...

E K K O H A U S Live! [ Moon Harbour, 2020 Vision | Berlin ]

Kostas Tassopoulos has been involved in various forms of music production in the last 15 years. As his alter ego, Ekkohaus, he produces and perfoms as a dj with sets which can be considered as a unique experience with great moments that seem to be lingering between house and techno.......Deep, sensual shuffly, sometimes jazzy, with serious sample dropping.

H O U S E W I V E S [ P3 Dans | Sweden ]

Housewives are a DJ Duo with their own club with the same name. And their event was voted "Best Club" in People Choice Awards 2007 and "Best Club" in the Scandinavian Music Convention 2008. BIOGRAPHY

In the late 2006 Adeline Supreme and La Fleur teamed up to become the duo Housewives and to make the floor more dirty and wet than it's ever been before.

Their club "Housewives" has resided at different venues and in different forms around Stockholm, Sweden at places such as Teatron, China, Berns, Trädgården, Nordic Light and Fredsgatan 12. At one point the nights were hosted on Housewives-themes such as kitchen and laundry room and in collaboration with art students the inetrior was designed and transformed each specific night and guests were even invited for apple pie in the kitchen! Housewives has twice been awarded for "Best Club", in People Choice Awards 2007 and in the Scandinavian Music Convention 2008.

Since the beginning of 2008 Housewives are hosting the biggest electronic dance music show in Scandinavia, P3 Dans, on Swedish National Radio. Each show features an interview and a theme with the aim to educate the people on Mega House, Housewives own genre. Previous shows feature for example Anja Schnejder on "Radio", Busy P on "Business", Phonique on "Love" and Style Of Eye on "Vocals".

Housewives have finished the demo EP "What's Cooking?", containing the tracks "Eat Me" and "Hot Stuff", both containing real kitchen sounds, recorded during the making of a veggie soup. The last track finished is called "Dirty Dancing", it is for and about the dancefloor.

During the summer of 2009 Housewives are residing at Fredsgatan 12 in Stockholm and will be hosting a big charity event called "Dance for Wells". It features a photo exhibition with music profiles such as Adam Beyer, Aril Brikha and Veronica Maggio and a charity club night with the aim to build wells around th world. Housewives will also continue to make visits to other dance floors around Sweden and Europe, hopefully closer to were you are, so watch out!

When you enter the club an early Housewives night you'll get picked up by nice grooves that make your heart start beating a little bit faster just as the pitch is pushing up the beat. It'll proceed with some filthy house beats and vocals that sweep you away and you'll come into a trance as the techno puts its whip on your back. By that time your legs will have started moving by themselves and you'll probably not be able to stop them as the vibes make them electrified. You'll be awaken again by a mega voice in your ear and you'll get back into your dirty dancing as the rhythm puts its net on you. Probably you'll not leave the dance floor until really late, if you ever will…

Thanks for everybody who came out! Ekkohaus and Houswives were legit! Gerard should be posting the set soon as well as photo proofs so people can hear and see how fun the night was.

A good number of people from another event came over to us later in the night and that was deeply appreciated.

Cheers!
