Cakewalk has Kinetic 2 on sale for $9.99!

It's a very basic sequencer and comes with a lot of Acid-based loops, but it also includes some decent synths (PSYN, Roland Groove Synths 1 and 2), a basic but decent sample-playback plugin (DropZone), an MPC-style drum sampler (The Grid), and some effects. It supports VST and DXi, so it might be a good purchase for someone with Reason, but wants a cheap host for VSTs, or someone who just wants a relatively simple scratch pad for ideas. More info:

Watch the vids, but it's easily worth $10 for the plugins and loops alone if you're in the market for cheap new instruments/sounds. |
