Now that your thanksgiving feast has finally settled comfortably (around your hips and thighs) following the most gluttonous nationally and socially acceptable binge day of the year, it’s about time to get back on track. Rather than jiggling those thunder thighs on that overrated treadmill, Immerse invites you to whittle your waist on the dance floor with us on Thursday, December 3rd ! Glimpse is making his way to New York exclusively for this event, bringing an extra long set of groovy booty shaking music, guaranteed to keep things shaking at optimal calorie-burning levels. He will be playing his highly acclaimed Live set as well as an all-vinyl DJ Set. Stretching you out and limbering you up will be Chris Fortier.
2009 has been a fantastic year for Glimpse. Nominated for producer of the year in DJ magazine and player of the year in IDJ. The last few months have seen him release the 'Drifting E.P. on Carl Craig’s Planet E Label, E.P.s on Cadenza, Get Physical/Kindisch, Buzzin Fly and a release on his own Glimpse Recordings imprint with Kompakt. Throughout 2009, he has also been composing his debut studio album on Cross Town Rebels entitled, 'Runner' which is due out in Feb 2010, as well as touring relentlessly with his live show in Japan, Australia, North/South America and Europe.
Known as one of the most well respected and liked member of the DJ circuit, Chris Fortier started his career as resident at the infamous ‘Aahz’ club nights in Orlando, Florida during the early nineties. These visionary nights served as a platform to not only bring such international talent as Sasha, John Digweed and Dave Seaman to America for the first time, but to establish an ‘Orlando’ sound that would become synonymous with clubbers and DJs alike for years to come.
