Latin Electro, I just made that word up lol. It's usually just electro songs with spanish words. There's a few latin DJ's that produce good electro. I'm trying to do that right now since there isn't that many international Dj's in that scene. As a matter of fact, I'm working on a double booking for a Chilean & Argentinian EDM clubs. I'm really hoping they go through. In the meantime, I already have one coming up in Sacramento in January.

The thing with these clubs is that unlike EDM only clubs, you have to be able to play pretty much a latin open format. Yes, that includes cheese. Like right now I'm playing a lot of David Guetta, Molotov, and Jaguares. People in OC dig that. My sets right now are a good balance of underground EDM, mainstream electro, and latin remixes. It's a shame that in SoCal there aren't that many DJ's that play that way. Hehehe, but it's better for me cuz I get all the bookings! hahaha

Anyhow, this is a clip of me playing a mashup of Jaguares with some electro. This was on Halloween at my residency in Anaheim, but I been this remix since last year.
:D

There actually is a TON of Latin electro.

There is a ton of guys from Netherlands (lol), Spain, Italy and some parts of South America producing this stuff. Its mostly latin house, but a lot of them crossover into electro.

Some of it is VERY good, and some of it is just pretty ty. They are all smaller guys that are making this stuff, but some of the stuff is pretty ing banging.

From smaller guys like Kato Jimenez, Ivan Ritman etc to bigger guys like Mario Ochoa, Sergio Rodriguez, Luis Vazquez etc. Its a wide variety of guys making this stuff, but its out there.

That sounded pretty sick. You should try it leading into and dropping into a Steve Angello type heavy bassline track. I have a bunch of Latin edits somewhere of machups/edits/remixes i used to do for my buddy that Dj's down here for Latin crowds. I wish i knew on what back up drive i have em. I would still be messing around with them, but i dont have the time i used to. :(

The one that would kill the crowd was a "Vivo de Tres animales" edit i made with a house track. It would kill the crowd every-time. They would be listening like WTF is he really playing that? Then loop, then BOOM haha.

Thanks for the compliments. Maybe I should let my remixes out in the wild! lol... I wanna hear that Tres Animales remix. It sounds like it's bad ass. My crowd would definetely dig it.

My partner made a dope remix of Vicente Fernandez - Volver Volver. Crowd goes nuts every time he plays it.

I remember baaaaack like 12+ years ago there was also a Volver Volver remix, i wonder if its similar?

As far as my remixes i have to pull out my hard drive and start scanning them. I did edits from "Julieta Venegas - Lento" to Caifanes tracks to narco corridos, to just redoing latin house classics with a more up to date bassline and or match up.

I will keep on looking, its in one of my 10 back up hard drives haha
