The Scene
It's a little hard to find, so it must be good. With no flashing neon sign and a desolate location hidden below a dark, inconspicuous parking area, it seems more like a speakeasy during Prohibition than a Santa Monica hot spot. Red velvet trimmings, black leather booths, candle-lit illumination and a framed shot of Old Blue Eyes as the bar's centerpiece make you feel like you might be in a Tarantino flick. It has the same cool, underground ambience of its Hollywood namesake, but offers a little more, with private booths and a larger dance floor to get the funk out.
