Back to my usual mixtape format for this one, so those looking for seamless layered transitions of a single genre over 80 minutes best look elsewhere.:p

A bit of an odd concept, this. I started with a single track, and worked from that to see where it lead me. However, this particular track isn't the first one; it's actually somewhere in the middle -can you guess which one? Most of these tunes are just things that have been getting my attention in the last few months, with a couple old favorites thrown in as I see fit. The only real difficulty I had was figuring out what kind of theme I ended up with. For some reason, thoughts of Sol and other stars kept cropping up, so I went with that for my title. Thus...

Let me know what ya'll think. And, if you can guess what my initial track was, you get to choose the theme of my next MixTape! Well, only if you want to...;)

MixTape1: Testing The Waters
MixTape2: Things, They Be Unright
MixTape3: Electronic Purity (Music Research Tribute)

...that no-one has made a move on this mix. I enjoyed it a lot. Lovely smooth start and then heaping on the atmosphere throughout. Just right. I don't know any of these tracks, so my guess as to which one you started with is arbitrary.
My best guess would be...
7. Afrika Bambaataa featuring TC Izlam - Almighty Ra
purely because it has "Ra" in the title. So no points to me for music awareness, but big points to you for a great mix.
Thanks.

No no! Only a full PK Soundsystem will do!

Heh, thanks.

i tend to listen to alot of mixes on headphones when i'm out walking. i'm then focusing just on that mix, which i have some issues with when i'm listening to it infront of the computer plus, you get more in touch with the sound and the directions when the sound is really personal.

Yeah, I tend to do the same. Definitely of the 'wandering with headphones' cult. ;)
