Ok so i want to know, Is global warming exaggerated? Are we really responsible for the earths temperature fluctuations?
I have no doubt that we are contributing to ozone depletion and some warming but really how much?
If you look at historical temperature change on earth we have seen far more drastic temperature changes (global cooling and warming) that have been all natural.
what is your opinion? personally whether we do anything or not i know that climate change will occur. As for reducing carbon emissions, i think it should be done but it should be done in an economical fashion such as subsidising green energy instead of carbon emitting sources.

Why bother making this thread? You'll invariably end up arguing against three or four other people with better factual information and logic than yourself.

I don't really give a about global warming one way or the other. I don't need that as an excuse to not be a wasteful, polluting . Except for smoking, of course. But I'm trying to quit. :o

I think that if climatologists think the Earth is getting warmer, and have very good reasons for saying so (it's not like they're clueless anyway), them my smart-arsedness should not get in the way.
I can't bloody tell if it's going to rain tomorrow, let alone know how the climate change works! ;)
It cleared up a lot of my misconceptions about the phenomenon.
