Remix I'm working on, really minimal and dark feel to it just like the original =)

Edit: Just added some more stuff, fixed the reverbs that were too cluttered and EQ'd it down a bit more. I also added a climax at around 4:07 unlike my other version where it just cuts to the bass. |

Nopoe, its an a trick. I used this comb filter on the predator bass and when you open the cutoff it makes a really weird noise like that. It's not phasing its actually how I wanted it to sound!
And btw, how is the mixdown? I think the percussion is a little too clutter but its about 3 loops so I cant eq it correctly.

I'm not aware of the original but this is a great mix. The hats don't sound too cluttered to me on headphones but I also use panning and reverb to seperate out high frequencies. I often go for a fairly dry drum room setting to move the sounds about a bit. Just helps them find their own space sometimes.

This is a really deep monster kick man.
Simple, but simple is a beauty and I always prefer simplicity over then crowded, over compress track. Add some simple melodic parts and you are set to go.

Thanks a lot, really, it's an awsome community here. About the kick, yea, I LOVE Giant massive kicks. Layered 2 of them and panned them, because of the phasing issues, and detuned them a little.
