It's not unusual to see a frustrated client yelling at the staff, nor is it uncommon to see people complaining to the management. But, how often do you praise the staff and the management when they excel at their job?
Last week a friend of mine and I went to an Outback Steakhouse and the waiter did a terrific job: my friend was so impressed she actually demanded to speak with the manager in order to give his team her thumbs up.
Today I received a package from Amazon that wasn't supposed to get here before Christmas (it arrived 24 days before the estimated date). As soon as I got home I sent their costumer service an e-mail congratulating them for the good work.
How about you? Do you usually praise them when you think they deserve to be praised? Or do you think it's just their obligation? |

I'd say I see it being a 10/1 ratio easily. Myself, I'm the same as you and will go out of my way to let them know of a job well done, whether it was problem handling or treatment. |
