What are some tracks you've purchased which sounded great from the sample, but ended up horribly failing expectations upon listening to the entire thing?

You'd do well to ask Kismet, I hear he's a big fan of Beatport samples.

It's happened to me several times - Sometimes those bloody samples are misleading :whip:

One more reason why DJ Download is better than Beatport!

I cant think of specific tracks of the top of my head but what I find annoying a lot of the time, is that you cant hear the intro or outro. I have bought many tracks from Beatport that sound great from the short sample but the intros/outros are an absolute mess.

Guess that's part of their big profit scheme eh.

I've got an old Andrea True Connection vinyl with You Got Me Dancing and the intro before the vocal hits is literally only 8 bars that aren't even on beat. It's a pain in the ass, and I hate to be always train wrecking in on such a sweet song.

I'll take sweet easy 1:30 intros any day :D
