Can anyone recommend a good snowblower?

I'm a n00b and don't know what to look for. I know its somewhat rainy lately, and we may still be far from huge snowfalls, but I want to get one this year.

What should I look for? Are there better brands than others? TORO > Black+Decker etc?

Looking to spending $700-$1000. I have a 10 car driveway, so I want something that blows about 0.4-0.6 high feet of snow. Are there electric ones? I'd prefer those over a gas powered one.

K thanks.

10 car driveway is pretty large. Corded ones doesn't have a high enough amp motor compared to the horsepower a gaspowered blower delivers to crunch through the packed or icy stuff.

Consider your neighhbours too. You must assume that when you get snowblower, your surrounding neighbours really pray you'll do their driveways too, although appearing to be nonchalant about it. So when you do your driveway, you gotta do your neighbours too if you want to stay on good terms.

Here's a selection of the suggested best http://www.consumersearch.com/snow-blowers

It's a long driveway, but I won't be doing the whole thing, just the front (about 6 car spaces worth). I don't need the John Deere of snowblowers, just enough to get the job done when it gets a heavier with snow. I'm just sick of shoveling/takes too much time while I'm in school.
