i have some question on Gabber
1. WHAT THE HELL IS IT? TECHNO? TRANCE? WTF?
2. Where did it come from...i read it started in Holland??
and please tell me what the hell is TERROR GABBER???????

gabber is a sub genre of hardcore
and it originated from north america
with the vicious scary synths/sounds
for example : omar santana/delta 9
terrorcore/gabber

Happy Hardcore killed "gabber" in the Netherlands. About 5 a 6 years ago gabber was big in The Netherlands. ID&T (Thunderdome) became the biggest house-company, because of gabber. And then there was happy-hardcore and a lot of gabbers (the term of a hardcore or gabber freak) got tired of hard-core (gabber) and "gabber" died for the meanstream. And a lot of hard-core freaks got hooked on trance or techno. Now in Holland gabber or hard-core is a underground type of house and a lot of neo-nazi's go to hard-core parties.
It is said in this thread that gabber is from the USA, but in Holland it became very big. The biggest hard-core dj's are Dutch, DJ Paul Elstak, DJ Gizmo, DJ Buzz Fuzz, Neofight, DJ Isaac, Dark Raver. Some of this dj's are now spinning hard-house or trance.
Tiesto did also spinned gabber years ago, about two years ago, when Tiesto said that gabber was for little children a gabber-producer made a record dj tiesto. Tiesto became big and gabber didn't became big anymore (thank god). |
