However, we did arrange a meeting in Switzerland three years from now.

That sounds about right, give or take a couple weeks.

This thread is kind of a big deal. Has Arbiter ever shared this much personal info in such a manner before? You know, if anyone else made this thread we'd be flaming their ass hard right now.

I didn't even think he had a family. I always thought he just jad a big library with a bunch of obscure books on politics and the occult.

So apparently some guy who was a friend of my mother in high school has been secretly obsessed with her for more than 35 years, and he just finally found her and contacted her again last week.

Here are the highlights:

1. He's married, with three kids.
2. His wife knew he was obsessed with my mom before she married him.
3. He has somehow persuaded his family to repeatedly assist him in trying to locate her over the last quarter century.
4. He's blown more than $500 on online people-finder services in unsuccessful attempts to locate her.
5. He's a religious nutbag and confessed his belief that "God wants him and [my mother] to be together."

What can I say; we live in a hilarious world.

:wtf: seriously? your mom is hot isn't she?

What makes you think that? Not that I'd necessarily be opposed to the idea, mind you.

Normally I would speculate as to what embarassing insecurities might lead one to draw such a strange conclusion from this thread, but there's not really any need to "speculate" here, is there? I mean, that's about as transparent as it gets.

teach me. No really. I want to learn how to come up with such witty replies and come backs with nothing more than thin air. And you trully are an arbiter, in a full sense as described by Pratchett in a "Thief of time".
