Hey guys,
I'm debating on which of these two controllers to grab and was curious if anyone has had experience using them. Pro's/Con's? I'm using TSP with time code vinyl and want to get a controller to control loops and efx in traktor.
I'm leaning towards the 1D due to how nicely it would sit flush between the mixer and tt. The faders and 5 endless rotary knobs on the 1D are also killer.
Anyways, curious to know what you folks think of the two. |

I would personally wait for the new Traktor Kontrol X1 from N.I. that comes out in February.
The faderfoxes are still labeled for Traktor 3 (not pro, the effects layout doesn't match that of the new setup in Pro), and the 1D is not ideally laid out for Traktor Scratch. Also the 1D doesn't work properly on some USB hubs which really limits it.
If you want something now, take a look at the Stanton SCS.3D. There are some really nice mappings that come with it for Traktor Pro, it works great to compliment your decks.
EDIT: I should add that I used to own the Xone 1D, now own two SCS.3D's, and will probably get the N.I. controllers when they come out. The Stantons are slick though... I would like to have physical knobs for the effects, however (though the stantouch technology is pretty good too). |

Nice,
The interface of the X1 is sick... I'll check it out. The stanton looks good too, just not a fan of the method of control.
When you had the 1D, what function did you assign the jog-wheel to? Wondering if you can assign it to browse/load tracks? |

That's what I did. It's very loose though, and doesn't work that great. Weakest part of the controller.
The problem with the 1D I feel is that it's like they just threw together a bunch of knobs, buttons, and rotary controllers, and faders without much thought into how anyone would actually use it. |

Sweet,
I'll try it out and see how it is... was hoping for the jogwheel not to be loose like that. Appreciate the info;) |
