| Pretty neat, but very muddy. Do I hear some reverb on the percussion? Sounds like it's muddying it up. The instrumentation is good but the FX and production could use some cleaning up. Song writing seems to be good to. Cool stuff, cool arrangement. |

thanks for the feedback.
Ill try removing the reverb on the percussion. You think it could also be a little muddy from to much compression on the track? |

The master compression isn't the issue I don't think. It's the EQ and reverb I believe. The percussion does have reverb on it and it makes it sound tinny and metallic. The reverb on the first synth you introduce is too long. That synth is really low so I would keep it nice and dry, see how that sounds. I bet after you made some changes with those 2 elements the rest will fit together even better. The actual idea is quite good.
That lead that comes in at 2:08 also has poor reverb on it. Sounds very tinny. The flange is nice, but you have everything so wet in reverb that it's all muddying up. Try taking reverb off of everything and doing your mixdown in mono. I mean, it's difficult because the arrangement and song are so good that it suffering from the production. But like I said, remove all of those reverbs and see how it sounds. |

I didn't listen to the original mix but the last one you posted has some good ideas in it. I think there's still some experimentation to be done with panning and EQ to help separate out the different elements but the ideas you have are sound.
Are you low cutting all the non bass and kick parts in the track? It sounds like there might be a little bit too much going on in the bottom end? |

| I am actually only cutting a few non bass parts. I will try low cutting all the non bass and kick parts in the track |

That should help enormously.
As will high cutting SOME of the other parts, although it's not quite as important. |
