to speed the overall process: make an appointment (if an option) and go to the local passport agency to submit your app/renewal in person. bring a copy of your flight itinerary, hotel reservation, or something else that will prove the date by which you need your passport. if you *really* want to expedite it, there is a 24hr option...not for the budget-minded.
i'll drag you to get the passport photos, myself, if you don't have them before NYE! :whip: :disbelief :gsmile: |

Not gonna expedite. It's 7 weeks away and I am going to have them overnight it to me.
US website says 4-6 weeks ... sooo -cross my fingers- |

| a few friends of mine got passports at the beginning of the summer for a trip to europe. they didn't expedite, but the passports arrived in 3 weeks anyway. |

| I renewed mine last year - and the website showed the same 4 - 6 week lag. I didn't expedite it (no need) and it was returned in about 2 weeks. |

| I had to get mine in 2 weeks this summer and I got it expedited for like $60 and got it in like 12 days or something. |

| ...or you can drive to Philly and get one at the pasport office on 2nd and Chestnut the same day. Just schedule an appointment. |
