An uptempo, highly energetic set based predominantly in the world of Progressive and Tech-House. While this set shies away from what I regularly find myself playing, it also represents an important facet of electronic dance music, a side of the music that is often buried under popular minimal beats and lighter, commercial music.
I got pretty experimental with the mix and your ears should be pleasantly surprised with some of the techniques I've used as well as with the harmonic progression.
The first and final tracks on the mix are definitely ear-catchers and of course there are a couple of gems in the middle as well.
In particular, I'd invite you to reflect on the broody, thematic crescendo of "Rated R", and then later, Patrick M's "Magna"- which is just such a massive sound. There are some acid squelches coming out of Pete Heller's masterpiece "Sabotage" and of course my dub edit of Salvation is noteworthy.
As an added bonus, I threw into the mix the B-side of my newly-imported New Order record.
