Hi,since a couple of days i've been facing this wierd problem.
I have a Pioneer 106DvD(16xDVD,40xCD) and whenever i put a cd in and take it out after a while, mostly for games that use cd's much -like GTA3-,it is hot! I mean,it can't burn you but its really warm! Could something be wrong? Note that the temperature here is high enough, could that be the problem?

i dont think its anything wrong, its just because its spinning around for a long time, i never take games out of my computer when i am done playing them though, cuzi dont switch games, but in my car when i switch cds, sometimes they are hot, like you said, warm to the touch and not hot enough to burn my hand, it never messed any of my cds up

yeah
my cds gets hot when i play them with my dvd-rom too
i dunno why it does that because it doesn't get warm in my other cd players
shouldn't be a problem though
k.k.d.
It's normal.. The CD spins at a very high speed, friction occurs (that's why the cds get scratched by the use too), and by the laws of thermodynamics, heat is prodiced, duh? :)
