Will he play ANY trance at all? I gave up on the whole "gift nights" at Guv a few years back. 99% of the tunes are the old classic house songs.:( I remember he only dropped Nalin & kane - open your eyes and solar stone - seven cities and that was it,

its not a "classic trance" night.
Its a night of music showcasing the tunes that have shaped the mainroom over the years to what it is (and was) today

I hear you dude, thing is is it's a classic night period no? So classic house, classic trance, classic techno should all make an appearance. Out of the stuff we've been hearing previous years there was no real trance classic stuff played from what I remember, just one or two out of an entire night.
If it's not a classic night and MO will just play some of the 'bigger tunes' that made Guv, Guv, then expect to hear exacty that. Anthems or other 'big' tunes that made the main room go crazy over the past few years, ie not necessarilly classics. That's prob why a lot of people are annoyed, tracks that got overplayed or are more mainstream can fit into that category which might have some people annoyed...
At least it had me annoyed last time I was there which is why I'm rethining of coming. BUT it to those who haven't gone, go, it's an experience.

this happens every year. i don't understand why it isn't advertised as a classics night when there is clearly a market for it.
i also seem to recall one year that mark oliver posted (or someone on his behalf) saying how excited he was and that he had spent all week going through all his old records for this night. this was back when the gift was amazing.

There's no way MO will start dropping the classic trance until much later. The Z103 bottle-service 905ers will not be happy! lol. I'd much rather get my trance on after they've cleared out.
