In one of the books I am reading the author mentions a little word puzzle I found pretty challenging. The goal is to change the word ORDER into the word CHAOS, constrained by the following rules:
1. You can change only one letter per step.
2. You cannot simply rearrange letters; you must change a single letter each time.
3. You cannot delete or add any letters; each step of your solution must be a five-letter English word.
For example, these would be valid steps: "ORDER > OLDER > OLDEN."
My gf and I figured out a twenty-four step solution. Can you get from ORDER to CHAOS in fewer steps? |

this is going to help me sleep tonight
I'll give it a shot, but can't guarantee to make it awake after the first 5 words |

| Yeah, it would be better if this forum had a "cut" tag so people could hide their solutions. |
