All good points by Marcello, and pretty spot on. The new owner is trying to really clean the place up while still keeping the amazing sound system (even getting it re-tuned and adding new pieces) and improving flow. The fraggle rock room is still gonna be a chill out spot, just not the disease ridden death trap it had become. That room, and the space in gereral, is a work in progress, it's not even finished yet. Still to come are a real dJ booth in the front, way more lighting effects and maybe even cryo. The owner is a big supporter of quality EDM, which is precisely why flawless has decided to bring bigger artists there like Dubfire next week, and Guy Gerber, Mattias Tanzmann, and Gui Borratto in 2010.

One person says "bottle service" and everyone freaks out... Yes, I'm upset the cave's gone, but I didn't get any indication that they're going that direction, and TAs usually aren't reliable sources...
Not to mention, bottle service has been done there plenty of times... My friends spent a thousand dollars once at an event of mine and got bottles in the cave... So did TA's own Steven Neil, even had a bouncer keeping people out...
Don't freak out everyone, yes there's some changes I wouldn't have made, but the fact that Dubfire's there in a couple weeks, not to mention the same promoters (Dub War, Massive, Flawless, just to name a few) are still doing events there, don't lose your pants at the thought of it going non-EDM because a few people said the dirty word (bottle service)... |

That sounds nice. Place could def get a nice makeover. Last time I went there I felt like I was going to a college basement party.
As for lighting, another good idea. I mean the laser pointer laser effect is cool and all, but c'mon, that's pretty ghetto, lol.
A cryo would be pimp. The space is a little small for one of those, but maybe a smaller one that could engulf the entire dancefloor would be cool, not sure if the ceilings are high enough. I love those things tho, the cryo alone can make a club and is something people remember and would make you want to go back. Get the one they have at Amnesia Ibiza :haha: |

I went into the fraggle rock room a few times when Love opened...but by the end it was really smelling bad. So I avoided it.
I'm pretty sure the improvements are for the better. |

I just want less of that laser. it's such a bad height!!! better lighting = no more hand made lasers.. i hope. |

| They definitely need to improve the lighting in there. I feel sorry for that girl, Liz i think here name is. She is always arching her back, pointing the laser and controlling the lights. They need to make it easier on her. I know my back hurts a bit when djing for a long time. bending over something that is not at a good height. |

Fraggle Rock was nice while it lasted. I've had many 5am naps there.
Things come and go.
The shag carpet upholstery was exciting at first - till it got ... umm .. sticky. I do miss the old bean bags in the Acid Room.
I don't mind the idea of a bigger dance floor so long as there's still enough place to relax. We have had some of the best bonding conversations in Fraggle Rock. |

Does anything have to to with Zoning? or making "other" people happy?
I mean, If I just bought that place, the first thing I would get rid of would be Fraggle Rock. Just from a Business Point of View, that room was a waste, and was always asking for trouble,etc....I agree with Ali, that entire DJ area should be at one of the ends. Clubs are a business and having a "good" rep helps..we all remember what happened there not long ago. In the end, I think the new ownership will be a huge plus to that place. Place has much more potential to make a profit with a better layout...that simple |

not sure if i agree with you on this one. What makes a club money is people going there. Im sure that a lot people like going to Love and continue going there because of the underground feel that the place gives, if you want evidence see above posts, Fraggle rock room clearly embodied the underground feel that love is and what I know drew me in the first time I was there. and it's that feeling that made me continue to come back. So by your logic, a club owner would want to make me come back in order to get money and therefore want to keep the "feel" of love in order to make me come back |

That's irrelevant. Behind you, there will be a lot more ppl waiting to take your place if the owner spins it the right way. |
