Something similar happened to me last week, and when I canceled on the original buyer I had already arranged to sell to, to go with a better offer, the person with the better offer flaked and I ended up back at square 1

Actually, there is. If you do the wrong thing, your reputation will be damaged and you're not likely to get any money any time soon :)

I need to find an oboe for my bf for Christmas

I can't afford to buy him one right now... but I was thinking of renting one for like 3 months or something

he used to play in high school and won awards and stuff
he's been talking recently about getting back into it

you do realize that is a euphemism for he wants to suck dick again right?

Was it the disparaging comment on high school band members that got you upset?

I wasn't even cool enough for band. :(

No, but really, she's too ing good for second-hand instruments she gets to inspect before even buyingrenting, has to ask someone for a more reputable source? A store. A ing oboe store is obviously the answer.

I'm not upset, see, look at this: :p

I would not do anything until the matter was discussed in private with Swirk2008.

Seriously, you can pluck a good, brand new reed out of any old pond.
