works wonders, and I've always heard that trick BUT don't forget, demineralized or ozonated water could be best if you're frantic on not wanting any impurities on your precious vinyls.
oh and don't take any alcohol to strong, DILUTE IT! |

anyways yeah well you could try that but i always had fears of leaving soap sud stainz on my vinyls :wtf: so be careful... I use legitimant record cleaner cause it seems to be specialized for that purpose.. you wanna preserve your vinyls i say give it the best treatment...
oh yeah dont wak the needle when your rewinding the track.. it happens to me often CREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ DAMN!

It’s not exactly vital but it helps a lot to keep your vinyl clean. I also use a cloth to wipe the dust off before I spin a tune, a special static one that attracts the dust, but still dust builds up on my records. Cleaning will help remove all those yucky fingerprints you generate through hot sweaty clubs and the nasty junk in the smoke machine fog. Also, you’ll probably notice an improvement in sound quality with a clean vinyl too!
If you using a home made mixture to wash them, as jdat said, watch out for things like mineral deposits. Distilled water, to mix with your alcahol or whatever, is really what you need for the job here as that’s had all the excess removed and is just pure water. |
