hey guys,
so i was Djing tonight and one of my CDJ-1000 mk2 stopped working.
it randomly turned off.. then started flashing and turned off again.. it was only on for 2hours or so.
i bought this used from a DJ store last year (it was a showroom model).
any idea what happened?
arent CDJs meant to last for a VERY long time? |

You never know how it was used as a showroom. Maybe it was left on continuously or something. |

i had a similar thing happen to my numarks.
Does the sequence in which you turn on the cdj's, mixer, amp etc. important??
maybe if the proper sequence is not respected, gets all ed up like ? |

not to cause that. We're not dealing with the Apollo 13 here :D
I've had my cdj1000 mk'2 stop on me one time, but they were hot and had been in use for a while that night. Turned it off then right back on and all was well. |

if you have to respect this sequence for it to work, it is time to get new gear:P |

hmmm, im pretty sure the sequence is important!
1) pour gasoline into the big metal drum
2) crank the handle clockwise several times
3) release the latch for the cheese to drop down
4) open the tiny cage to release the hampsters to start running on the little wheel (chasing the cheese) to supply DC power to the equipment
5) Spin the latest Bing Crosby record
6) Sit back in easy chair & hand out waiting numbers while the bithces pile into my house to suck a good dick... |
