Ah ok, well again that depends on the level of her impairment. Let's just say she's got right sided paralysis and is dysphagic. You would have to mince or puree her food and add thickener to her fluids, and you would have to help her eat, maybe even feed her. You would have to help her bathe and clothe herself, assist her to the toilet, help with personal care, etc. You'd have to give her meds everyday and reposition her every couple of hours in bed at night to prevent skin breakdown and pressure sores - or else you'll be dealing with infections and wound care as well. |

No, feeding tubes are surgically inserted into the intestines, and the feeds are controlled via pump. Which means you'd have to steal the pump as well...and know how to use it, as well as how to maintain the lines for patency, change the dressing everyday, etc.
Believe me dude, your unconscious fantasy is not really viable if you want it to be realistic. |

| Bump to announce that I finally finished this "short" story. I cut most of the medical stuff as what I had in mind turned out to be unrealistic / impossible. Now the abducted girl is mostly only a metaphor / symbol and only seen briefly in the first scene. Whole thing went into a completely different direction than I thought. It wanted it to be horror / thriller stuff but apart from the final it's a character development thing with some religious undertones. |
