Yeah typical geek. I love the new star wars but can't stand people like you who jerk off to the sight of princess Leia in a metal bikini.
Yeah, because that isn't a completely wild assumption to try and save face.

I am generally too dim to understand statements that make no sense.
Or maybe it's just the dementia kicking in. The ol' brain doesn't work all that well in my age, sonny boy.

How does that make no sense, the movie comes out and children and young adults enjoy it, the books are readily available soon after, parents of the children buy the books for them. The next movie comes out and the process repeats.

Uh huh.
But what does that have to do with the quality of the movie(s)?

I'd been hearing about this for a while now and finally got around to watching it today. Damn good stuff. My only beef is that he keeps giving Lucas a bunch of about how it feels like it's written for children. Lucas has said it himself that they are kids movies. Even the originals. When you take that into consideration, the abominations that are the prequels make complete sense.

He's not berating Lucas for making kids films, he's berating Lucas for making kids films with stupidly complex plots. As he points out, having straightforward plots and clear heroes and villains is not necessary in a film for adults, as many great film-makers have shown, but kids films should keep it simple, easily understandable and easily digestible. That's why Lucas' bull "bold aesthetic decision" excuse for his ed-up storytelling in the last clip doesn't wash.
