Great job with this one, Sam! I was listening to it all day yesterday, and am giving it another go this morning. Really nice selection of super-funky music, it had a great 'party' vibe.
I liked the mixing, you were pretty quick with it instead of drawing out the mixes, the energy really kept up the whole way through, and everything was seemingly in-key. No clashing at all whatsoever.
Favorite songs in the mix have to be the Cut Copy remix of Maroon 5, Cross The Dancefloor, Taurus, and most especially... that BURNS track. OMG I listened to it about 20 times last night. |

I'll be honest...I really didn't think I was going to like this at all, most because I can't stand electro/blog house. But I've been on a bit on a nu-disco kick lately so I gave this a shot, and this was seriously ace. Love the way you combined nu-disco with prog house, which made for a verrry grooving set. Mixing was good and you kept the energy up. Would love to hear more stuff like this.
also, lol @ Treasure Fingers...that guy used to play all of the terrible indie/hipster electro parties around here. |
