I'll tell you a story:
One day an EVP at my company sent out an email to a large group of employees all over the world. A link in the email didn't work for some people and somehow a 'reply all' series of emails got started. It was really unnecessary for 98% of the people on that distribution list to see the replies. So what happened next? Well, a few of that 98% began to reply all asking for removal from the distribution list, since they didn't need to see the reply alls. Do you see the irony there? Eventually, the reply all remove-me-from-this-distribution-list-I-don't-need-to-see-all-these-emails requests even began to come in foreign languages. I mean the rofls were just bountiful! And then also considering that every single one, roughly 70 in total, of the reply alls went directly back to the EVP - I mean that just had me in stitches! STITCHES! Anywho, I don't know what I was saying. |
