Y'know I'm still kinda pissed that I missed Paco @ Muse...and I'm REALLY pissed that I missed Wink last week. That's still on my list of things to do.
Yeah Electric Zoo was one of my favorite events of the year. But I'm a trance kid so it was definitely Thanksgivin' Eve with Sean, Simon, Jollins, Eco, & gang @ Rebel. I knew that event was going to be special, but I didn't expect it to get that amazing. So many rooms and fantastic sets that I didn't know what to do with myself. And I was super lucky its right around the corner from Penn Station. Made the trip back to Philly easy. |

Dude,
Saw Justice around 2 years ago at the Factory in Philly. Had no idea what to expect. Mehdi opened for them and by the time those Frenchies got on stage the place was going WILD. Opened my eyes to the Ed Banger crew and definitely one of my favorite shows of all time. Danced my ass off. |

But my favorite party for pure insanity was the Dan Deacon/Deerhunter/No Age at Flying W Airport Resort. The party was held at a resort in Medford, NJ that is attached to an airport.
Dan Deacon whipped the 300+ crowd into a frenzy and had us doing crazy stunts like dance offs and was able to get the hipsters to form a giant Conga line snaking around the airplane shaped swimming pool.
This was a ridiculously great time. And will become legend, since after the party the resort decided to close it's doors to music/dance events. :(

Yo I realllly wanna go to a Dan Deacon party. That guy knows how to make fun happen!

best set of the year goes to steve angello at pacha in april, i couldn't stop moving. i wouldn't let my friends leave, it was crazy.
notable sets / events:
- electric zoo was fantastic
- cosmic gate at love was ridic, had tears in my eyes at one point
- bal en blanc in montreal is always fun markus schulz & axwell owned that party
- jaytech opening for above & beyond was so good i stopped talking to markus schulz to dance, if you know me that makes no sense
- gareth emery really surprised me at cielo, fantastic party |
