Popularity != Quality.

Yes, both of the tracks were very good, its just he hasn't really done other than that production wise (And believe me, I wish he would!) I do like his sound, its just he doesn't really do much with it. And I do really like alot of the artists he plays. I just don't think he has done enough to deserve the spot.

As for the remix, he took an absolutely AWFUL song and made it good, I actually like the remix. Not my favorite, but he did manage to rescue a hopelessly awful song. Just my opinion anyway.

Merry christmas to all

I Feel like all his remixes have his sound and that's why i'm always happy when an artist chooses to have him throw his style into their track...and it doesn't stop at lonely girl...sunrise at palamos, deep devine, light to lies...ya all remixes but his sound comes thru and you know it's gareth...were all rooting for the same thing anyways....in 2010 I hope both gareth and wallbridge bring it and develop their sounds

Idk if this is kosher but a little side question...who shouldve been number 1 on the list in ur opinion.....

Andy Moor for me

I was a little surprised that Gareth took #9, although I'm happy with it because I like him. I thought his production definitely lacked, but everything he did touch was great! I think his podcast really helped with his rating though. Really a variety good music every time.

And wtf is going on here...we are talking about trance?!?! That never happens.

Personally I could care less about the dj mag list, I just care about live performance and quality unique productions...

But if I had to pick a favorite this year I would say Tritonal, mainly because their productions but they also are pretty solid DJ's. But 2009 is to early for them to be #1.

I saw Gareth live this year back in November and I have to say it was one of my most favorite shows. IMO, he is great at what he does and his podcasts are amazing--I love the variety of music he selects.

As for Ashley---I vote him one of my top producers of this year. He is just starting to blow up, and I can't wait to see what happens in 2010 with him!

Yeah I like how they manage to have a distinct sound, yet are not afraid to add new things to the equation. Also they release alot of quality tracks. And they have great track selection on their air up there podcast imo. Their remixes are almost always stellar as well.
