2009 is about to end, and it was a great opportunity for all of us to live and learn. But, what's the most important lesson you think you learnt this year?
"Wherever you are it is your own friends who make your world" - William James
I wholeheartedly agree with him and, during this year in which I had more time to work on my non-romantic relationships, I understood why I cherish my friends so much, and what we do to keep one another strong. I now understand how they provided me with an incredible environment for me to pursue my dreams, and am greatly thankful for all that, having dealt with some of the prejudice there was revolving this issue.
So, what did the lot of you learn this year? Share your experiences! |
Great quote Lira and I can say the same for me this past year, and although I also encountered many difficulties with friends, I know these folks are worth all the effort in the world. |

Fits 100% to me and in a very, very literal sense. Moved to NYC and realized that the greatest, most exciting place on earth won't be worth anything if you have no close friends to enjoy it with (I have made some really goods ones recently, though). It really is like standing in front of a giant, delicious buffet but having no hands to reach for the treasures! Or some other failed metaphor like that.Anyway, great quote, important lesson, and to a happy, equally educating new year! |

| There really is no endpoint. Nothing is ever finished. Don't get hung up on reaching one milestone and then considering another. Life is fluid and will keep moving with or without you so work to be fluid yourself. |

| Never try to have a serious conversation about your relationship after having consumed an entire bottle of champagne. |

You don't have to end every sentence with I do declare. You can just say it once. |
