Long one of the most innovative and influential DJs on the West Coast club circuit, Doc Martin began spinning house records in San Francisco in 1986, quickly winning a cult following among warehouse party denizens for his eclectic tastes and skill at mixing the crowd with the music. After several years of masterminding epic eight-hour sets at clubs including Flammable Liquid and Sunday Love, Martin relocated to Los Angeles, where he soon took up residency at the Metropolis. By the mid-'90s, he was also the first West Coast DJ to hold a number of residencies in New York, appearing at clubs including the Roxy, Twilo and the Tunnel; also a favorite among London crowds, he regularly spun sets at venues including Cream, Back to Basics and Lakota.

What makes Doc Martin so different from the rest? His unique ability to spin everything from deep house, funky tribal mixed with threads of acid, his collection of classics, rare records, and other exclusives that you can only hear in his sets.

Doc Martin has earned enormous respect throughout the years. It is this respect that keeps him constantly touring. He has played at such world-famous venues and events as Fabric in London, Panorama Bar in Berlin, Womb in Tokyo, The End in London, Cielo in New York City, Yellow in Japan, Pacha in New York City, Soundbar in Chicago, Vinyl in Denver, Ruby Skye in San Francisco, Twilo in New York City, Perfecto with Paul Oakenfold at The Palms in Las Vegas, The End Up in San Francisco, The Love Parade in San Francisco, DEMF in Detroit, and countless other shows.
