Some of those names are just recommendations...leger is still not on for this event. We shall see though....

Booking schossow for Tao is a step in the right direction, if I'm not mistaken this was his first so. Cal massive and he toreeeee it up. The problem however is the promoters need to book big names like pvd, oakenfold, guetta, armin etc to sell tickets. As big as Markus Schulz is, I noticed the main stage at Tao get emptier as soon as guetta got off and Schulz took the stage.

Ideally, I'd love to see Schulz, schossow, w&w and jochen miller...I don't think u can get any better. :-)

Pretty much hit it on the head. Yeah after Schulz dropped 3 Jochen Miller tracks I wouldn't mind seeing him at a massive down here. We can only hope!

I hate to spam or repeat myself, but I cannot stress how much I'd love to see Jochen Miller at an event down here!! I don't know about how bookings work, but he would be great to see, after a while the same DJs get a little boring, listen to the people on this forum, they know best!

Others that come to mind

Dash Berlin
W & W
Myon & Shane 54
Simon Patterson vs. Sean Tyas
Ashley Wallbridge
Roger Shah
Menno de Jong
Duderstadt

Myon and Shane 54 are another duo I'd like to see, check out their latest podcast too.

Agreed (obviously)! Jochen rocked Trance Energy this year, such a "PARTY OF YOUR LIFE!" DJ, hands in the air from beginning to end of his set. :)

I'm not here to complain about the lineups that much - I love the big DJs and would see them again and again. We are lucky to have lineups like this. That being said I'd love to see the newer talent coming around too. A nice mix.

I probably won't go to this event because its in SB... but I want to say this:

Let's be honest here. At most 20% of the fans at these big events are legitimate, big, EDM fans. We can say another 20% or so are there to see maybe 1 or 2 DJs (ex: they have heard a couple of Guetta songs and want to hear him, something like that).

The rest 60% are just people who love going to massive raves. They are there for the event, not particular DJs. So I would say to Insomniac that I think you don't have to feel pressured to have the top DJs play the main stages all the time. Sure, it is nice to have top DJs come around because you know they are good but I would love to see some risks being taken and some of the newer, up and coming artists take the main or side stages more often. I don't think you will get too many complaints.

I totally agree with his statement...just get like one or two big name DJ's (Armin, Tiesto, Ferry, Above & Beyond, Cosmic Gate, etc.) and the rest could be other solid DJs. A perfect EDC line up could be:

Day 1:
Giuseppe Ottaviani
Ronski Speed
Super8 & Tab
Cosmic Gate
Alex M.O.R.P.H.
Ferry Corsten

Day 2:
Wippenberg
Myon & Shane 54
Jochen Miller
Andy Moor
Above & Beyond
Armin van Buuren

others: lange, dj feel, first state, w&w, richard durand, tyDi, sean tyas, leon boiler, andy duguid, bobina, stoneface & terminal, daniel kandi, dash berlin, rafael frost, simon patterson, tritonal

And if you had the Coliseum + Arena open because I know 2010 will only be crazier...just a couple years ago EDC was just at the NOS/Orange Show with around 50K, it's doubled within a few years. And trance in the coliseum please! No more house/electro in the main arena/coliseum like at TAO/Monster. Just a thought :)

If you had any combinations of the dj's above, I'd jizz in my pants no joke..But I honestly haven't seen a lineup amaze me since...Love Parade Afterparty 08 (Kyau & Albert, Deep Voices, ATB, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren)

No PVD, SVD, ATB, Guetta, Infected Mushroom. I've seen them too many times in the past couple years.
