But im looking for a cheap controller for mixing down, is the BCF2000 up to much?

A friend of mine has it. The faders are really noisy and they don't seem totally accurate. Other than that they're fine.

+they're really ugly... but they get the job done i guess.

Personally I wouldn't ever buy anymore Behringer gear. That being said, the BCF2000 does get the job done, and they are cheap. Just don't expect the faders to work at 100% after a while.

They can't be that bad. I saw a video recently where the Prodigys' engineer used one in their live rig.

I still wouldn't buy one though ;)

I had a Presonus Faderport once which was superb, and also had a motorised fader. The grawback is of course, just one fader.

I was wondering that as well, but then I realized he must mean that they are physically noisy. Probably no big deal.

the motorised faders he means
palm
not any more noisy than keys on your computers keyboard our mouse anyway? or fan noise? cant be a problem.
Storyteller
way noisier than both. If they're automated while the track is playing it's load enough to distract you from that that matters most. Unless you have your speakers out loud.

Ry Thomas
Looks like i'll go with these, a friend says he can replace the faders with Alps faders if it is too noisy
Subtle
I love mine :) so much fun with motorised faders.
