| after you take them out of the freezer, pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and they'll glow alot brighter |

| if your freezer is cold enuf it works, u have to cool it down anuf to prevent the rection within the stick or else the freezer trick does not works, also on the whol, green sticks last 8 hours at full brightness, and several days still glowing stighly (if sumwhat pointlessly) whereas all the other colors are at 0 power afetr 8 hours, with about 4 hours of full brightness, apart from yellow, which is halfway between green and other colours. |

The reason that this makes them last longer, is that the chemicals inside of the glowstick are slowed down, thus slowing down the friction which causes the glowing of the stick.. putting them in the microwave makes them glow more just because the opposite is happening..

it will still work, the glowstick just wont last as long since it will still be glowing a little.. |

the low temperature slows down the reaction rate of the chemicals in the glowstick. in other words, it kinda "pauses" the glowing. just like drinkyourmilk said.
hey, i think i'd have much more fun while dancing with a glostick on my neck or something and i wouldn't be a candy raver. |

I love this thread, it's like Luke Skywalker being trained by Yoda or Obewan to be a Jeti Knight. Bloodflower you must use the force, mirokliteans are a living organism that give glowsticks their light. Try not, do!
Each TA must create his own light saber urrrr I mean glowstick. Btw, I prefer fill my glow sticks with radioactive waste. The best part is they will glow for about a 1,000 years and you don't even need to put them in the freezer! Once you have become TA Knight you can step up to road flares, they're totally radical, although I've accidentally set some people on fire. Of course this is a small price to pay for the salvation of the human race.

Glowstickers..LOL...are the kids who tryed Liquid and looked like fools so they adopted the candy culture of the glowstick and thought it would be cool to wave it around...LOL

glow sticks can make for a funny toy in the bedroom aswell!!

I rescently started stringing...is it called that? Attach each glowstick to the end of a rope and spin them around...learned some neat trix by my brother....it so ing fun...i practise everyday now :) outside offcourse....
About the amount of time they glow...
In my local store i can choose between 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 8 hours and 12 hours. If you choose 5 minutes it glows alot more and intense... |

yeh i read about them mega bright ones, i just prefer my good old normal green ones :D |
