Man I had a blast. It was awesome seeing so many TAs that I haven't seen in a long time, and meeting so many new ones! And of course Fairmont killed it. Vahid and Taj, you guys rocked it too!
I know I say this after every time I go, but I gotta get down to the city more often! :D
If there's a recording at all, I would love to hear it! ;) |

BTW, sorry folks for those who were trying to tune in to the broadcast. Actually had to kill it because the way Fairmonts setup was. I believe Rizo may have captured it. Didnt realize the post was still up for it.

It was great to meet you too! :) I think Rizo & Rich were on the dance floor cuz of me :p. I didn't want to be behind the dj booth when the music sounded MUCH better on the dance floor!
What a fun night! I had the best time with you guys! I love love love all you SFTA's! I love SF in general. OMG, I was warned by friends that once I go to SF, I won't want to come back to LA. I never knew what they were talking about, until this past weekend! <3
Were the set's recorded by any chance?? I want Fairmont's set! There was this one song he played (that he didn't play at Incognito). I MUST hear it again, asap! Hopefully Rizo will be able to ID it lol.

I miss SFTA's already!! When is the next event coming up that is worth going up there for? Digweed?? |

i recorded his set but need to clean it up and remove the first and last track from the set. jake said theyre signed to a label and doesnt want them to be boot-legged.
as for next time, it may be soon but end of february is nuts! its schneider's bday too!

Yes, I know exactly what songs you are talking about! He didn't play them at Incognito, but he did play one of them when he was doing a sound check that night. One of them is very dark, melodic and beautiful. I want to hear those songs, asapppp! It's bugging me that I can't hear them right now :(
I'm not a big enough fan of the dj's you mentioned, except for Four Tet/Nathan Fake... and they will be in LA that same weekend, so I'll see them here. |

| fairmont's music sounded great in the main room, but i felt like the crowd wasn't sure about it for the first half of his set. the bpms were much lower than the main room crowd is used to, lower than i'm used to even, but enjoyable to listen to nonetheless. i was really hoping to be wowed with something a bit harder though. i loved that erphun track vahid played earlier, that sound is totally up my alley. what was fun about this night for me though was the number of tas that came out. the once a weekers, once a monthers, once in a whilers and a couple of first timers were all there and that was pretty unique. it was nice to have some lata presence as well. |
